MD AQMAL SEES INDERA SC HOME (BT)

INDERA SC notched up their second straight win with a 1-0 victory over MS PDB (Royal Brunei Police Force's Sports Council) in Group C of the DST-National Football League 2011/2012 yesterday at the Balapan Track and Field in Berakas.

It was an equally matched first half with neither team being able to control the midfield.

Indera did break the deadlock before halftime with Md Aqmal Hakeem Abd Hamid scoring the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute.

He received a good through ball to get behind two defenders and placed his shot past the outstretched arm of MS PDB goalkeeper Md Khairol Amin Hj Zainuddin.

MS PDB had the upperhand in the aerial battle and enjoyed ball possession early on in the second half.

Md Syarafuddin Hamdi Hj Talip had a good chance to equalise in the 55th minute after towering over the Indera defenders but his header was off target.

Indera were going with the long ball and hoping to get behind the MS PDB backline but proved to be unsuccessful.

They had a good chance to double their lead in the 82nd minute after a good through ball by Mohammad Aqmal Hakeem left Md Khairul Anwar Abd Rahim with a one-on-one situation against Md Khairol.

But he skyrocketed his shot that saw the MS PDB defenders breathe a sign of relief.

Indera got another chance in injury time that saw Abdul Mu'iz Sisa squander another one-on-one situation against MD PDB goalkeeper.

Abdul Mu'iz was the receiver of a quickly taken freekick from the midfield that caught MS PDB napping but Md Khairol was up to the task to parry his effort away.

MS PDB made immediate response in the next possession and Md Najib Hj Tarif's effort required Indera goalkeeper Mohd Fakrul Zulhamzi Yussof to dive deep for a save to ensure his team take all three points.

"It is good that we managed to win all three points in our second match. Both teams were equally good and it was a good match throughout the whole 90 minutes," said Rosdin Hj Abdul Aziz, the manager of Indera, in an interview with The Brunei Times after the win.

"We were missing two key players but rest of the players showed great confidence and did a great job today (Sunday)," he added.

On the other hand, Muhd Kenny Safwan Abdullah, the assistant manage of MS PDB, luck was not on their side in the loss.

"I think both teams had equal chances but luck was not on our side. Indera dominated the first half but I thought we were the better team in the second half," said Muhd Kenny Safwan.

"We will continue to work harder and improve on our weaknesses for the upcoming matches," he added.

Over at the Berakas Sports Complex, Tunas FC defeated beat Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) 3-1 in Group B.

Md Nazirul Hadi Hj Marsal scored a brace for Tunas FC in the eighth and 27th minutes while Md Zaim Jaya put one behind the net for the team in the 46th minute.

BSRC's goal came courtesy of Md Firdaus Nasar in the 32nd minute.

The competition continues today with LLRC FT going up against Perkasa at the Berakas Sports Complex at 8.15pm.

INDERA SC STEAMROLL RIMBASTAR 12-0 (BB)

Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman lived up to his reputation by firing a hat-trick to guide Indera SC to a staggering 12-0 victory over Rimba Star at Track and Field Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday.

Indera SC was 5-0 in the first-half thanks to goals from Reduan Hj Petara (5th minute), Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman (24th minute), Hidayatur Rahim Aliuddin (39th minute), Md Azwan Ali Rahman (41st minute) and Md Karimurizal Kasmi (43rd minute).

The goals galore for Rosdin Hj Aziz's team continued after the break where seven more goals were added to register the first big win in the DST National Football League 2011/2012 campaign.

The goals came from Hamizan's brace (47th and 64th minute) to complete his hat-trick, Reduan Hj Petara (68th minute), Md Azwan Ali Rahman (57th minute), Md. Khairul Anwar Abd Rahim (85th minute) and two own goals from Rimba Star players Radin Reimy in the 55th minute and Hj Md Ameerul Asharaf Hassan in the 75th minute.

Meanwhile, in another match at the Berakas Sports Complex, Jerudong FC hammered DST FT 4-2.

Jerudong FC's Md Bazli Md Said netted a hat-trick with his goals in the 12th, 13th and 82nd minute. Md Shah Johan Hj Shari scored a goal in the 41st minute.

Muhammad Ros'adly Haji Rosli scored twice for DST FT in the 35th and 46th minute.

The league continues tonight with a match between Menglait FC taking on RBA FC at Berakas Sports Complex at 8.15pm.

INDERA Sports Club's fans were in a celebratory mood after edging AM Gunners FC 8-7 to qualify for the quarter-finals of the DST Group Brunei League Cup 2011 last night.

Though they twice enjoyed the lead at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, Indera let their guard down and allowed the Gunners to tie the game at 2-2 to force penalties.

In the end Indera's captain Ak Shahruddin Pg Hj Tejuddin was the man of the moment, scoring his penalty before AM Gunners' Md Nazri Hj Hassan saw his saved by Md Norul Zulhilmi Mustapa.

Indera's coach was happy his men were able to progress to the last eight but said that the tie should have been settled in regulation time. "Our defenders lost focus. We were leading twice and the game should not have gone to penalties," said Moksen Mohammad after the game.

"But I'm still happy with how they handled their shots," added the ex-national player, who saw none of his men miss from the spot.

Md Khayrun Salleh, Azwan Mohd Salleh, Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman, Ak Asrul Asdynee Pg Sahdon and Sahrin Momin scored from 12 yards for Indera while Ak Anaqi Sufi Pg Hj Omar Baki, Shahrul Rizal Hj Abd Rahman, Md Najib Hj Tarif, Md Syarafuddin Hamdi Hj Talip got on the sheet for the Gunners to force the tie into even more penalties.

Md Helmi Zambin scored for Indera before Abdul Aziz Tamit made it 6-6 for the Gunners.

Md 'Afi Aminuddin netted for Indera to give them the lead but Md Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah evened things up before Ak Shahruddin took his winning shot.

The open and free-flowing first half was controlled by Indera, who had the better of the chances, possession and territory.

Md Khayrun and DPMM FC midfielder Sairol Hj Sahari always looked dangerous on the left flank and it was through the duo's hard work that Indera finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute.

A pass from Sairol to Md Khayrun saw the latter pick out Md Helmi in the box, who danced past two defenders and unleashed a shot which beat Abi Yazid Yusof.

Ak Anaqi Sufi equalised 10 minutes later with a well-taken free-kick but the Gunners would continue to find chances hard to come by and the game would be forced into extra-time.

Sairol was the first to react to a corner-kick in the 99th minute with a deft flick but his DPMM FC teammate Hj Md Subhi Abdilah Hj Bakir would net in the 109th minute with a header off another corner-kick.

The match was the second which had to be decided on penalties after Majra FC's 4-2 win over the Prisons Department in the same stage of the competition on Tuesday night.

Action continues tonight when defending champions QAF FC face Lun Bawang. Brunei Youth FC take on Menglait FC tomorrow while Monday's game will see Kilanas FC go up against DST Group FT.

All games are set for the Balapan Track and Field at 8pm.

Jerudong fight back to take a point from Indera

INDERA SC and Jerudong FC settled for a share of the points in their DST Group Brunei Premier League (BPL) I game which ended 1-1 last night.

Both goals at the Berakas Sports Complex were scored inside the first 10 minutes, and though the teams would continue to create chances, neither were able to capitalise.

Muhd Afi Aminuddin, one of the six DPMM FC players in Indera, opened the scoring in the first minute before Jerudong's Md Sufian Hj Lamudin equalised six minutes later.

The result pushes Indera from fifth to fourth by displacing AM Gunners FC.

AM Gunners, who started the weekend on third, have now dropped two spots as a result of last night's game and the 1-1 draw between Majra FC and the Prisons Department on Saturday night.

Jerudong, on the other hand, remain seventh in the nine-team league.

Though he was pleased with the result, Indera coach Moksin Mohamed felt his team could have done better.

"It was a 50/50 game for us. We had our chances but failed to take them," Moksin told The Brunei Times.

His counterpart, Julkifli Hj Hitam, was just happy to have bounced back after trailing so early in the tie.

"The players did what was asked of them ... Maybe not 100 per cent but 80 per cent. They also did well to come back from that early goal," he said.

"We will be looking to get all six points from our next two games to push us up to the Top Five before the start of the second round," he added.

Jerudong face the Prisons Department on Wednesday and AM Gunners on Sunday before the first round break.

Julkifli said the second round is expected to start early next month.

Today's action will see Rimba Star take on Menglait FC in the BPL II.

The match is set for 8.15pm at the Berakas Sports Complex in Berakas.

Bandar Seri Begawan - Sarin Momin stunning free-kick from 40 yards helped Indera SC moved fourth in a 3-1 win against the Prisons Department in the DST Group Brunei Premier League I match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

The two sides were levelled in the first 45 minutes with Sarin first finding the net for Indera SC in the 3 minute from a superb free kick before being cancelled out nine minutes later by Prisons Department's Md Shaeruddin Suhaili who took advantage from the misunderstanding between Indera SC's goalie and his defence in the 40" minute.

Five minutes after the break, Indera SC's once again took the lead thanks to a brilliant cross from the left flank by Abdul Mu' iz Sisa, which was headed in by Md Khayrun Salleh in the 50th minute.

Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman finalised the 3-1 win when he slotted the ball in the 73rd minute thanks to the failure of the Prisons Department's goalkeeper Abdul Samad Hj Gapor to make clearance in front of his goalmouth.

Bandar Seri Begawan - With a strong mentality after winning the recent thrilling encounter against AM Gunners FC, Indera SC are now holding on to their momentum to face KSJ Penjara in the DST Group Blunei Premier League I match at the Berakas Sports Complex today. Indera SC currently are fifth in the league after five matches and setting their sight to collect another three points to dethrone fourth placed Majra FC who will not play until next week against giant, QAF FC.

Both Indera SC and Majra FC are level on seven points with goal difference. In an interview with the Borneo Bulletin yesterday, Indera SC coach Moksen Mohammad said his team will welcome back two players after missing from the recent match.

"The two players will be back straight to the starting tomorrow after going through suspension due to red card offence. I hope with this `injection' our team will find our rhythm back," said Moksen whose team were defeated twice thus far in the league this season.

Moksen, a former experienced Brunei national player, also called on his players to be focused not only for today's match but also for the rest of the league in order to finish top of the standings.

"We almost lost our three valuable points last week to AM Gunners FC after a comfortable 4-1 lead. As what you can see, we conceded two late goals due to lack of concentration from the players. I hope this will not happen again," the coach stressed.

When asked about his team's opponent for tomorrow's match, Moksen said that he never looked down on any team and just need to prepare his squad before every match.

"Speaking of KSJ Penjara, to me they are really a good team who possessed some experienced players who can be a threat to any team. Although checking in to the basement standing, I am sure they will give us a good fight to earn their first vital points," said Moksen.

Indera SC so far registered two wins against LLRC FT and AM Gunners FC, two defeats (QAF FC and MS ABDB) and one draw (Majra).

INDERA BEAT GUNNERS IN A 4-3 THRILLER (BB)

Premier League I match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

Sharing the delightful moment with Indera SC last night was the league leader MS ABDB who crushed Wijaya FC 6-0 at the Penanjong Camp in Tutong.

Playing under a good weather and a better look of Berakas Sports Complex, Indera SC and AM Gunners showed a terrific display of football to cheer both teams supporters who throng the complex.

It was AM Gunners FC who find the target first through Hj Md Subhi Abdillah Hj Bakir's header in the 11th minute from a corner kick before being cancelled out by Indera SC's Helmi Zambin two minutes later to make the scoreline 1-1.

However, Indera SC did not have to wait for that long to add their second goal of the night when Md Khayrun Salleh easily slotted the ball in front of the AM Gunners FC's goalmouth in the 25th minute.

Indera SC coached by former experienced Brunei national player Moksen Mohammad looked more menacing after the interval by making a string of attacks to the AM Gunners FC defence in search for their third goal.

The effort was paid off in the 59th minute when former QAF FC player Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman headed Indera SC's third goal after being unmarked by the AM Gunners FC defenders.

Met twice in last year's league, Indera SC who lost 4-2 in the first meet to AM Gunners FC, were on course for a sweet revenge, when Md Khayrun Salleh made the scoreline 4-1 in the 79' minute with his brilliant skill of play to convert a goal.

But Indera SC were stunned by AM Gunners FC's second goal in the 86th minute through Hj Md Subhi Abdillah once again before Md Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah slotted his team's third three minutes later.

However it was a little too late for the Gunners to steal a deservedly point from Indera SC.

A BLUNDER by Indera SC goalkeeper Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin allowed Majra FC to capture a point in their DST Group Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

Under no pressure, the Indera SC goalkeeper hit his kick straight to Majra FC's Md Noor Ridwan Hj Bujang, who made no mistake from point blank to score the 1-1 equaliser in the dying seconds of the match.

It was Indera SC's loss after Hamizan Aziz Sulaiman gave them a slim advantage in the 53rd minute.

Both teams were also down to 10 men in the 18th minute. Majra FC's M Hadiman And Hadi clashed with Indera SC's Abdul Mu'iz Sisa and the referee did not hesitate to hand both players with their marching orders.

Nonetheless, Majra FC manager Hj Mahaddi Hj Mat Zain had no qualms about the ugly way in which his team escaped narrowly.

Bandar Seri Begawan - Nine-men QAF FC cruised to a 3-1 victory against Indera SC in what was seen as a controversial match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

The defending DST Group Brunei Premier League I champion QAF FC's defender Ratano Tuah was given the marching order after receiving a second yellow card for tackling Indera SC's Md Helmi Zambin and QAF FC's Md Shah Azhar Abdullah was punished with a straight red card for a harsh tackle in the second half..

QAF FC who played without any import players proved they are still capable to challenge for the title this season, as they do not wait for long to penetrate the goal against Indera SC.

HardymanAbd Lamit put QAF FC ahead after he coolly headed the ball in resulting from a clearance error made by an Indera SC's defender Abdurahman Assawadiq Ab' Rahim in the 5th minute.

Seven minutes later, Adie Arsham Mohd Salleh, once a strike partner for QAF FC's Cameroonian import Viban Francis Bayong, slotted the second goal for QAF FC after receiving a fine cross from winger Md Aqmal Hakeem Abdul Hamid from the right flank.

The celebration for QAF FC's players and supporters ,did not end there as midfield maestro Md Mardi Mirza Bujang Abdullah also put his name on the score sheet in the 16th minute. A corner kick from QAF FC's Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin Pg Ramlee led to Md Mardi Mirza's goal who was unmarked by the Indera SC's defenders to net in the third goal for QAF FC.

The red card drama began 10 minutes into half time when QAF FC's defender Ratano Tuah brought down Md Helmi Zambin in the penalty box resulting to no hesitation by the match referee to award Indera SC's a penalty kick.

Ratano who already received a first yellow in the earlier minutes was shown his second to be dismissed from the remaining of the game. The QAF FC defender's action refusal to leave the pitch led to a chaotic atmosphere who could be facing a disciplinary action from the Football Federation of Brunei Darussalam (FFBD).

Indera SC's Sahrin Momin converted the penalty kick by sending QAF FC's goalkeeper Md Sahan Mumtazali the wrong way.

Speaking to the Borneo Bulletin, Indera SC coach Moksen Mohammad commented: "All the blame goes to my players for giving three easy goals in a space oftwelve minutes. This is unbelievable."

When asked on the second red card shown to QAF FC's player Md Shah Azhar, he said: "From my view, it should be a yellow. Well, it is the referee's decision in the end."

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces' Sports Council (MS ABDB) overcame a slow start to shoot down Indera FC 3-1 in their DST Group Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

Dahari Hj Md Yussof, Md Safari Wahit and Ak Md Fakharrazi Pg Hj Hassan scored a goal each for the armymen in the romp. Indera FC's lone goal was scored by Azwan Mohd Salleh.

It was a much needed win to boost the team's morale after their loss against QAF FC in the Champions' Cup last Saturday, according to MS ABDB manager Suhaimi Jamali.

"We were a little disappointed after the defeat on Saturday. So it's a good result to get for the first match to keep the players' spirit up till the next match," he said.

The victory also brings much relief to MS ABDB, whom Suhaimi reveals are having problems upfront.

"Our main striker (Md) Sardillah (Hj Abdullah) is still injured since last season and we do not know when he will be able to return yet. We're still looking for a player to fill in the gap and for now, (Md) Hardi (Hj Matassan) will fill in the slot," said Suhaimi.

MS ABDB started the match off strongly but were unable to penetrate Indera FC's defence, who crowded their own territory to limit the armymen's shots on goal.

However, as the period went on, the game shifted to an end-to-end battle with both teams unable to find any clear cut opportunities to break the stalemate due to poor passing performances.

For the second half, midfielder Dahari was brought in to replace Md Khairuddin Abd Kadir on the pitch and it did not take him long to make an impact.

He drew first blood by drilling the ball over Indera FC goalkeeper Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin in the 65th minute.

Defender Md Safari doubled MS ABDB's advantage when he headed into Indera FC's net in the 74th minute, the ball delivered precisely by Suhaime Hj Yussof from a corner.

DPMM FC player Azwan kept Indera FC in the thick of things when he sent MS ABDB goalkeeper Md Tarmizi Hj Mat Johari the wrong way from the penalty spot in the 79th minute.

However Ak Md Fakharrazi ended any comeback hopes of Indera FC, by punishing their failure to stop his burst on the right flank.

The 22-year-old winger made it a debut to remember when he lobbed the ball over Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin to seal a 3-1 victory for the armymen.

The next BPL I match will feature LLRC FT play host to Majra FC at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club in Seria, slated for Sunday at 4pm.

A well-taken free-kick by Ak Anaqi Sufi Pg Omar in the second half of the game for a 2-1 win over Indera FC sealed AM Gunners FC’s qualification for the DST Group FA Cup semifinals at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

It was his teammate Rosland Zaman who scored first in the 13th minute from a corner-kick before Indera FC’s Abd Aziz Tamit levelled the score eight minutes before half time.

The two teams in search for another goal struggled to find their rhythm before referee pointed out for a free kick in favour of AM Gunners FC.

Ak Anaqi Sufi stepped up to take the free kick from 35 yards to score the winning goal for AM Gunners FC in the 68th minute.

NORILHAM Hj Jais is betting on Indera FC's team chemistry to see them through tonight's DST Group Brunei FA Cup quarter-final match against AM Gunners FC.

The match at the Berakas Sports Complex will be the ex-DPMM FC assistant coach's seventh match in charge of Indera, and he said he has seen marked changes in the side.

Two ex-DPMM FC players, Helmi Zambin and Azwan Salleh, helped Indera to a 3-2 result over Majra FC in the second round on Tuesday.

Left winger Sairol Hj Sahari makes up the third player in the trio of ex-DPMM midfielders currently playing for Indera, but Norilham downplayed suggestions that it was the DPMM FC connection that won the match.

"It's not just the ex-DPMM FC players. I can see the connection between the DPMM players and non-DPMM FC players and it is phenomenal!" he said.

"I am really impressed with the team since my first match in charge and the players know how to adjust.

"A lot of them are friends ... so they know each other quite well. I can see no problem. I am very optimistic," he added.

After a 1-0 defeat to league leaders QAF FC in his first match in charge on Jan 13, Norilham steered Indera to two wins, a draw and a loss, eventually finishing sixth in the 10-team DST Group Brunei Premier League I.

The coach will be aiming for his first win over AM Gunners, with the previous two encounters ending in a draw and a loss.

AM Gunners FC beat Indera 4-2 in their first round match on Aug 5, with the second round game on Feb 15 a 1-1 draw after Sairol's penalty cancelled out a Md Nazlee Pehin Dato Hj Jaafar strike.

With a mid-table finish in the league, Norilham said he was hoping to make up for it in the FA Cup.

"I know the boys can do the job. They are hungry for the Cup even though the finish in the league wasn't that excellent," said Norilham.

"I told them to treat every game like the final, and if they want to get the trophy, hard work is the answer.

"I have always told the boys they must maintain their discipline during games; both offensively and defensively. Good defence will win championships," he added.

JERUDONG FC came from behind to beat Indera Sports Club 3-2 in the final game of the DST Group Brunei Premier League (BPL) I for both teams last night.

Jerudong move up a rung to fourth in the 10-team ladder and can finish the campaign in that spot if Majra fail to win their last game against Brunei Shell Football Team tomorrow.

Indera, however, have no need to wait and end the season at sixth with 25 points from 18 games.

Dominating the first half of the mid-table tussle at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, Jerudong led 1-0 going into the break but found themselves trailing 2-1 in the 69th minute. Their fitness and focus saw them turn the tides though, and goals by Hidayatur Rahim Aliuddin and Sufri Mohaimin helped the team to their eighth win of the season.

Finishing fourth last season as well after losing out to Majra on goal difference, Jerudong's coach felt that a spot just outside the top-three would be fair.

"Our target was a top-three finish but looking at the players we have, I feel it is a good result (if we finish fourth)," said Julkifli Hj Hitam. "The first half was alright and we were able to control the game but we were sloppy on their first goal, when no one attacked the ball. Sure, I was worried a bit about losing ... but we have strong spirit. It wasn't 90 minutes yet and we know it's not over until then. I had confidence in my players' training and knew that we could use our fitness to press them for the rest of the game."

Indera's careless defense saw Mohd Enddy Soehardy Awg Sapar win the ball just outside the box and lay it off for Mohd Azwan Ali Rahman, who scored with a dipping shot past goalkeeper Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin in the fourth minute.

Jerudong kept Indera on the back foot for the rest of the half by dominating midfield but the second period saw Indera start to string some passes together and get in the game by slowing the tempo down.

Abdul Aziz Tamit got Indera on the scoresheet 10 minutes after the restart when his free-kick from more than 35 yards curled into the right netting without any Indera player getting a touch.

Another ex-DPMM FC player - Md Helmi Zambin - gave Indera the lead in the 69th minute when he was at hand at the left post to tap home a cross from deep inside the right flank from Abdul Mu'iz Sisa. It wasn't to be the comeback Indera planned though, and relaxed defense saw them throw away their hard-fought lead in the space of three minutes. A through ball to Hidayatur Rahim saw him coolly slot the ball home in the 77th minute, and a tiring back line let Mohd Azwan slide a pass to Sufri, who scored from inside the box after dribbling past two players and celebrated by dancing around the right corner-flag with Md Arif Ali Rahman.

Over at the Berakas Sports Complex, Wijaya FC and NBT FC play out a 0-0 draw. Wijaya remained in eight spot while NBT stayed at the bottom of the table and will be playing in BPL II next season.

Army men still in title race

THE Royal Brunei Armed Forces' Sports Council (MS ABDB) thrashed AH United 7-0 last night to keep their slim hopes of winning the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) alive.

Now trailing league leaders and defending champions QAF FC by five points, the last two games for both sides will be crucial.

Suhaime Hj Md Yussof opened the scoring at the Penanjong Camp in Tutong after 15 minutes, with Ak Md Safri Pg Hj Othman doubling the team's lead six minutes later.

Ex-AM Gunners FC striker Md Isa Hj Bahar made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute to give the hosts a commanding lead heading into the break.

Safari Wahit found the net three minutes into the second half, with Ak Md Safri making it 5-0 in the 63rd minute.

A brace from Budiman Jumat in the 68th and 79th minutes sealed the result for the army men.

MS ABDB's manager was pleased with his team's display and promised that the title race is not over yet.

"I think we need to show confidence heading into our next two games," said Lt Col Dr Bahrin Hj Bintang.

"We changed the formation from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 to get a different style and I am glad it worked.

"I am very happy with the performance since our finishing was a problem in the first few games. It was not as good as in the first round when we netted 30 plus goals, but now we only have 20 plus and it's just two games left.

"We need to win our next two games so we can stay in second and hopefully QAF FC will not win. The team are on form and I hope it will continue," he added.

Ironically, MS ABDB's fate lies in the hands of seventh-placed AH United, who take on undefeated QAF FC on Tuesday.

A win for QAF FC will see them defend their crown, making it a hat-trick of titles for them.

If QAF FC lose or draw and if MS ABDB beat Wijaya FC on the same night, it will all boil down to the season finale between the top two teams in the BPL I on Feb 27 at the Penanjong Camp in Tutong.

Last night's other match saw Indera FC beat Brunei Shell Football Team 1-0 at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club in Seria courtesy of an Abd Aziz Tamit goal in the 54th minute.

Indera remain sixth in the 10-team table with 21 points while Brunei Shell are still second from bottom with five points.

Meanwhile in yesterday's DSTGroup BPL II action, second-placed Prisons Department beat Perkasa FC 4-0 at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

QUICKER to the ball and looking more potent on the attack, Indera FC were deserved 2-0 winners over AH United in last night's DST Group Brunei Premier League I action.

Displacing AH United in the 10-team table, Indera are now sixth with 18 points while AH United are seventh and trailing their conqueror by two points.

The first win for new coach Norilham Hj Jais, he felt it was a taste of things to come.

"I am very optimistic about the remaining three matches... I think we can get maximum points," said the former DPMM FC assistant coach in a post-match interview with The Brunei Times.

"Overall I am very satisfied. We dominated the first half and created a lot of chances.

"In the second half, both teams had their moments but it was a good thing we scored that second goal," he added.

Playing as a deep-lying playmaker, Indera's Azwan Salleh could have opened the scoring on the half-hour mark but for a weak free-kick from the edge of the box.

Indera got the break through they were looking for 10 minutes later when Sahrin Zaini rose the highest in the box to head home a corner from Azwan.

The midfielder had a golden opportunity to double his team's lead a few minutes later but his attempt from inside the box was wide off the mark.

Indera's Sairol Hj Sahri created the best chance 10 minutes into the second half, but the former DPMM FC midfielder dipping free-kick was tipped over by Ak Ahmad Fitri Pg Momin.

Ex-DPMM FC skipper Pg Sallehuddin Pg Haji Damit, now playing for AH United, played a pivotal role in protecting his back line.

He has lost none of his hot-headedness which characterised his spell at DPMM FC though, evident when he rushed to confront the referee for awarding Indera a penalty after he hacked down Md Helmi Zambin in the box.

A confident Sairol made no mistake from the spot, coolly slotting home from 12 yards with a low shot past Ak Ahmad Fitri's right.

Another former DPMM FC player, AH United's Muhd Maududi Hilmi Kasmi was not as influential as he would have wanted to last night — probably because of a lack of support from his teammates when the team were going forward.

Most of AH United's passes in the attacking third were cut out by Indera, and their strategy of using long balls to spark attacks was never rewarded.

AH United's Ak Asrul Asydnee Pg Sahdon had a free-kick that was saved by Indera's Ak Omar Nur Aqqmmaddin in the dying stages of the match, with Md Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah watching his attempt sail harmlessly over the bar seconds later.

Another ex-DPMM FC defender, Abdul Aziz Tamit, had the chance to make it 3-0 in injury time but his header off a corner was cleared off the line.

The night's other match saw Wijaya pick up their fourth win of the season when they beat Brunei Shell Football Team (BSFT) 2-1 at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club in Seria.

Ak Muhd Naqib Pg Timbang opened the scoring for Wijaya five minutes after the break, only for Reneil Ruani to equalise in the 72nd minute. Zulkefly Duraman then grabbed the winner for Wijaya in the 77th.

The result maintains the teams' standings, Wijaya at eighth and BSFT at ninth.

Pasukan QAF FC terpaksa berhempas pulas mengekalkan rekod tanpa kalah mereka apabila hanya sekadar berjaya menghasilkan gol tunggal menerusi pemain import, Viban Francis Bayong ketika menentang Pasukan Indera FC di Padang Kebajikan, Berakas . Perlawanan malam semalam itu dilihat sebagai perlawanan ‘buku bertemu dengan ruas’ di mana pasukan Indera FC hampir saja menjadi pasukan pertama berjaya mencalarkan rekod bersih pendahulu liga Perdana Satu DST Group tersebut apabila sekali lagi pengadil perlawanan menjadi ‘duri dalam daging’ dalam menghalang misi bersejarah pasukan Indera FC pada malam itu.

Walaupun hujan turun dengan lebatnya selama 45 minit, tidak menghalang perlawanan diteruskan bagi tidak mengecewakan penyokong-penyokong kedua-dua pasukan yang datang bagi memberikan sokongan moral. Keadaan padang yang berair dan ‘becak’ sedikit sebanyak menjejaskan sedikit mutu permainan kedua-dua pasukan, namun kedua-dua pasukan berjaya memperlihatkan persembahan yang menarik.

Pada babak pertama, nampaknya persaingan adalah seimbang apabila kedua-dua pasukan mempunyai peluang-peluang baik bagi menjaringkan gol namun pasukan Indera FC lebih bermula garang apabila seringkali menguji pertahanan Pasukan QAF FC yang dikemudi oleh Riwandi Wahit, bekas pemain kebangsaan Brunei. Pasukan Indera FC yang mempertaruhkan formasi 4-4-2 seolah-olah memberikan amaran awal kepada pendahulu liga itu apabila pemain sayap berpengalaman, Sairol Sahari dan Mohd Helmi Zambin sentiasa mengucar-kacirkan bahagian pertahanan QAF FC sehingga selalu membuat kesilapan.

Mohd Khayrun Salleh (no.7) yang berpasangan dengan Abd Wardi (no.18) yang nampaknya semakin serasi sering berkerja keras bagi menghasilkan gol dan membuka ruang kepada teman-teman yang lain untuk mencipta jaringan. Ketua pasukan Indera FC, Ak Shahruddin Pg Tejuddin nyaris memberikan pasukan yang berada di kedudukan ke 7 dalam Liga Perdana Satu itu gol pendahuluan namun percubaan itu sekadar melimpasi palang gol QAF FC apabila penjaga gol sudah tertewas hasil hantaran lintang Sairol Sahari. Pasukan Indera FC sepatutnya mendahului pada minit ke 30 melalui Aziz Tamit pada malam tersebut apabila pergelutan didepan gawang gol tidak dapat disudahkan dengan baik ketika gawang sudah terbuka luas dan tiang pula menjadi penghalang.

Pemain ‘sasa’, Viban Francis Bayong yang meledakkan beberapa gol sebelum ini ketika pasukan QAF FC membelasah BST FC 10-0 hanya sekadar mendapat beberapa peluang apabila pergerakannya sentiasa ‘dirantai’ oleh Azwan Salleh dan juga Sharin Momin.
Sairol Sahari yang bermain cemerlang disayap kiri pasukan Indera FC itu telah dijatuhkan dikotak D kawasan QAF FC tetapi pengadil tidak menghiraukan kesalahan tersebut. Sepatutnya pengadil bertindak lebih adil apabila dengan murah hati memberikan kad kuning kepada kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh pemain-pemain Indera FC walaupun pada hakikatnya pemain-pemain QAF FC melakukan kesalahan yang sama. Ini membuatkan ketidak-kepuasan kepada penyokong-penyokong Indera FC yang sentiasa memberikan sokongan padu kepada Pasukan Indera FC walaupun ada ketikanya penyokong-penyokong QAF FC tidak menunjukkan semangat kesukanan.

Sepatutnya permainan babak pertama sudah berakhir, namun pengadil masih meneruskan perlawanan apabila hantaran lintang daripada Ak Kamarul diminit-minit akhir berjaya disudahkan oleh Viban Farncis Bayong apabila Ak Nur Aqamuddin cuba menyelamatkan namun tidak berjaya. Babak pertama berakhir dengan 0-1 kepada QAF FC.

Pasukan Indera FC yang baru saja menerima khidmat jurulatih baru yang berpengalaman, Mohd Ilham dan juga Zainol dari DPMM FC bagi menggantikan Pg Serfuddin yang mempunyai komitmen kerja sebelum ini, keluar pada babak kedua dengan suntikan tenaga yang baru dalam mencari gol awal. Seperti situasi yang sama ketika bertemu dengan MSABDB, pasukan Indera FC mengasak bertubi-tubi ke gawang QAF FC yang nampaknya terpaksa bertahan di kawasan sendiri sehingga membuatkan Ali Mustapha, jurulatih QAF FC resah gelisah melihat pasukannya yang terpaksa bekerja keras mematahkan serangan pasukan Indera FC.

Di babak kedua, permainan banyak berlegar di kawasan QAF FC yang banyak bertahan bagi mematahkan serangan bertali arus pasukan Indera FC yang nampaknya bagai ‘singa lapar’ yang ketandusan jaringan bagi memastikan misi malam itu terlaksana. Ketika permainan semakin rancak dan pantas, terdapat jua insiden membabitkan persengketaan pemain apabila pengadil nampaknya ‘berat sebelah’ dengan menghasilkan keputusan memihak kepada pasukan QAF FC, bila mana pemain ‘berpengaruh’ Sairol Sahari nyata-nyata dijatuhkan dengan kasar sekali di kawasan kotak D besar ketika berjaya melepaskan hadangan Philip Sabtu sebelum sempat berbuat apa-apa. Pengadil seolah-olah ingin memberikan meniupkan wisel bagi memberikan sepakan penalti tetapi membatalkannya di saat-saat akhir dan ini mengecewakan penyokong-penyokong Inderas FC.

Sentuhan menarik dari Mohd Khayrun Salleh pada malam itu memukau penonton yang hadir pada malam itu walapun pada hakikatnya hujan masih membasahi padang yang terkenal dengan jolokan ‘Padang Kebajikan’ itu namun nasib masih belum menyebelahi pemain bekas MS ABDB itu apabila tendangannya hanya tersasar beberapa inci apabila berjaya memperdaya dua pertahanan QAF FC. Penjaga gol QAF FC bermain cemerlang pada malam itu apabila berjaya menepis segala hantaran sudut dan sepakan percuma dari menembusi gawang QAF FC.

Kemasukan pemain lincah, Ak Muhd Zulfadli sedikit sebanyak memberikan tekanan kepada pertahanan QAF FC yang terpaksa bekerja lebih kuat sehingga menyebabkan Mohd Ali Mustapa mengeluarkan Ratano Tuah dengan memasukkan Musyerady bagi mengukuhkan banteng QAF FC yang nampaknya mula goyah. Tidak dinafikan QAF FC pada malam itu juga mempunyai peluang baik untuk menambah jaringan tetapi terkandas oleh pertahanan Indera FC yang dibarisi oleh Ak Muhd Shahruddin, Aziz Tamit, Muiz dan juga Sallehin yang bertindak cemerlang pada malam itu.

Gara-gara pergerakannya sentiasa diekori dan dirantai, membuatkan pemain import QAF FC, Viban Francis Bayong terpaksa bermain dengan kasar sehingga membuat terjahan dari belakang dengan niat untuk mencederakan Sahrin Momin tetapi pengadil hanya memberikan kad kuning yang sepatutnya ‘merah’.

Percubaan demi percubaan oleh pasukan Indera FC tidak berjaya untuk menembusi gawang gol QAF FC apabila sekali lagi nasib tidak menyebelahi pasukan didikan Haji ZulKifli dan Haji Raman yang terpaksa akur dengan keputusan 0-1 kepada QAF FC. Sekurang-kurangnya pasukan Indera FC dapat membuktikan bahawa persembahan pada malam itu milik mereka cuma tuah masih belum menyebelahi mereka dan ini memberikan ‘amaran’ kepada pasukan-pasukan yang belum bertemu di Liga Perdana Satu DST GROUP yang hanya berbaki beberapa perlawanan. Perlawanan seterusnya Indera FC pada hari Jumaat, 22 Januari digelanggang dan waktu yang sama menentang pasukan yang semakin ‘naik’, AH UNITED.

INDERA SC TIDAK BERNASIB BAIK APABILA TEWAS 1-2 KEPADA MS ABDB

Nyata tuah tidak menyebelahi Pasukan Indera FC apabila terpaksa akur dengan keputusan berpihak 1-2 kepada MS ABDB malam semalam di padang Penanjong Kem, Tutong.

Walaupun pasukan pelawat terpaksa melupakan khidmat pemain berpengalaman, Mohd Sharin Zaini yang masih belum sembuh dari kecederaan dan pemain kental Ak Muhd Shahruddin bin Pg Tejuddin yang memulakan pengantungan pada malam tersebut, namun pasukan didikan Haji Mohd Zulkifli masih berbisa apabila sepakan percuma bekas pemain DPMM FC, Sairol Sahari nyaris meletakkan pasukan Indera FC di hadapan pada minit ke 6, namun percubaan itu dapat ditepis keluar oleh Mohd Fardillah Ali, penjaga gol MS ABDB.

Mohd Khayrun Salleh (no.22) yang turun selaku ketua pasukan, nyaris memecah kebuntuan selang 10 minit kemudian apabila larian cantik bekas pemain MS ABDB itu berjaya memperdaya dua pemain pertahanan MS ABDB sebelum sepakannya hanya tersasar sedikit sebelum mendapat kecederaan setelah bertembung dengan Mohd Fardillah Ali. Sejurus selepas itu, Mohd Helmi Zambin (no.14) seharusnya memberikan gol ‘pertama’ semangat kepada pasukan pelawat pada malam itu apabila tendangannya terkena badan Mohd Fardillah Ali yang sekali lagi bertindak cemerlang menghampakan pasukan Indera FC.

MS ABDB juga sering memberikan tentangan sengit dengan mempamerkan gerakan pantas sambil mempertaruhkan Mohd Sardillah, penyerang berbisa mereka bersama pemain lincah, Roy Suhardi yang sentiasa cuba mencari ruang untuk melolosi kawalan pemain pertahanan Indera FC, Mohd Muiz yang sukar untuk dilepaskan. Mohd Muiz (no.6) berjaya menyelamatkan pasukan pelawat dari dibolosi apabila Roy Suhardi yang hanya berseorangan di Kotak D apabila bola dapat dikuis keluar sebelum beliau berjaya untuk membuat sebarang tendangan dan seterusnya memberikan tendangan sudut.

Pengadil dan juga penjaga tepi pada malam tersebut banyak memberikan keputusan ‘mencurigakan’ dan seolah-olah menghadirkan ‘advantage’ kepada pasukan tuan rumah bermula dengan hadiah sepakan penalti di minit 26 apabila Mohd Sardillah menjatuhkan diri sendiri dibelakang kawalan Mohd Helmi Zambin. Bukan saja pemain yang bengang, tetapi jurulatih Pg Mohd Serfuddin nampaknya juga tidak berpuas hati dengan keputusan pengadil itu apabila penjaga tepi yang berada pada kedudukan yang jelas tidak memperlihatkan sebarang kesalahan dilakukan oleh pasukan pelawat. Namun pasukan Indera FC terpaksa menerima keputusan tersebut dan nyata Ak Omar Aqamuddin (penjaga gol) menjadi ‘hero’ pasukan pelawat apabila berjaya menyelamatkan sepakan penalti itu dengan terbangan yang cantik disebelah kanan gawang dan seterusnya memberikan tendangan sudut. Bermula dari tendangan sudut itulah, malang bermula bagi pasukan pelawat apabila gol pertama MS ABDB menjelma apabila pemain MS ABDB, Mohd Suhaimie Yusof yang jelasnya berada di kedudukan ‘offside’ berjaya menanduk bola semula ke dalam gelanggang sebelum berjaya disambar oleh Mohd Safari Wahit pada minit ke 31 bagi menjaringkan gol. Pemain-pemain Indera FC cuba untuk membantah keputusan tersebut sambil penyokong-penyokong pelawat yang hadir juga memperlihatkan ketidak-kepuasan hati mereka dengan riuh rendah yang bergema di padang Penanjong Kem tersebut. Berikut dengan ketinggalan itu, Pg Muhd Serfuddin membuat penukaran dengan memasukkan Ak Mohd Zulfadli menggantikan Mohd Ariff bagi menguatkan lagi bahagian serangan.

Titik tolak dari sana, persembahan pasukan pelawat sedikit terumbang ambing sehingga banyak memberikan impak kepada permainan seolah-olah hilang arah, dan ini membuatkan MS ABDB mengambil peluang itu untuk menyusun dan mengatur gerakan yang cantik untuk menambah jaringan. Dan sekali lagi pengadil bermurah hati dalam memberikan sepakan percuma apabila ayam tambatan MS ABDB, Mohd Sardillah dengan mudah jatuh walaupun pemain Indera FC berjaya mencuri bola dengan bersih. Sepakan leret yang dihasilkan oleh Mohd Rosmin Kamis tidak berjaya dikeluarkan oleh pertahanan Indera FC yang sedikit alpa sehingga menyebabkan MS ABDB berjaya melebarkan jurang gol bagi gol kedua mereka melalui pemain yang sama, Mohd Safari Wahit pada minit ke 41. Separuh masa pertama berakhir dengan keputusan MS ABDB 2 – 0 Indera FC.

Walaupun pasukan Indera FC ketinggalan dua jaringan, namun penyokong-penyokong setia pasukan pelawat masih bersemangat dan tidak berganjak dari tempat duduk masing-masing sambil mengharapkan babak kedua itu nanti akan berubah dan gol yang dinanti-nantikan nanti akan tiba jua.

Nyata apa yang diharapkan oleh penyokong-penyokong setia pelawat berbaloi juga apabila pasukan Indera FC memulakan permainan pada separuh masa kedua itu dengan garang dan ‘lapar’ mencari sekurang-sekurang satu gol bagi menaikan semangat pasukan pelawat itu. Indera FC nampaknya berjaya mengatur permainan dan gerakan yang berbahaya ke gawang MS ABDB apabila kawasan tengah berjaya dikawal dengan cemerlang oleh Azwan Salleh dan Sharin Momin yang sentiasa bekerja keras mematahkan serangan MS ABDB sehingga pengadil memberikan sepakan percuma disebelah kanan MS ABDB apabila pemain Indera FC dijatuhkan betul-betul di garisan Kotak D besar. Sairol Sahari diberikan peranan untuk membuat tendangan, nyata pengalaman besar beliau sebelum ini dapat digunakan sepenuhnya apabila sepakan percuma yang cantik hadir dikepala Azwan Salleh yang membuat tandukan mengelirukan Mohd Fardillah Ali bagi gol pertama pasukan pelawat dim init ke 52. Dan menambah manisnya kepada gol kedua (peribadi) Azwan Salleh itu musim ini, ianya hadir sewaktu beliau menyambut hari jadi pada malam itu juga. MS ABDB yang kaku dengan jaringan itu seolah-olah hilang semangat dan terpaksa bertahan menguatkan pertahanan mereka bagi tidak dibolosi bagi kali keduanya.

Indera FC bertubi-tubi mengasak ke kubu MS ABDB dengan menggunakan dua pemain yang lincah, Mohd Helmi Zambin dan Sairol Sahari yang sentiasa membuat pertahanan MS ABDB kelam kabut. Pasukan pelawat sekali lagi membuat pertukaran starategi dengan memasukkan Hamzi bagi menggantikan Sairol Sahari yang tercedera.

Sahrin Momin (no.19) nyaris menyamakan kedudukan apabila tendangan deras beliau berjaya didakap oleh penjaga gol. Ak Muhd Zulfadli yang baru sembuh dari kecederaan hampir menjaring gol pertama beliau apabila sepakannya terkena pertahanan MS ABDB apabila hanya berdepan dengan penjaga gol. Mohd Khayrun Salleh yang sentiasa dibayangi oleh pertahanan MS ABDB pada malam berjaya melepaskan satu tendangan ‘volley’ yang nyata-nyata tersasar sedikit apabila Mohd Fardillah hanya mampu melihat sahaja. Pasukan membuat pertukaran terakhir dengan memasukan Karimurizal menggantikan Abd Wardi bagi memberikan nafas baru dan tekanan terhadap MS ABDB.

Tiga trio pemain pertahanan yang dibarisi oleh pemain-pemain muda Indera FC, Muhammad ‘Afi, Mohd Sallehin dan Mohd Muiz harus mendapat pujian apabila berjaya mengekang barisan serangan MS ABDB yang berpengalaman seperti Mohd Sardillah, Roy Suhardi dan Suhaimie Yusof.

Riuh rendah sokongan penyokong-penyokong Indera FC seakan-akan memberikan satu suntikan semangat kepada pasukan pelawat tersebut dalam misi mencari gol penyamaan. Malam itu memang bukan milik pasukan pelawat, apabila satu lagi peluang keemasan hadir dalam minit-minit akhir perlawanan bagi Mohd Khayrun Salleh apabila cuma Mohd Fardillah tinggal berseorangan, percubaanya tersasar melimpasi palang gol MS ABDB. Percubaan Mohd Karimurizal Kasmi juga diminit-minit akhir masa kecedaraan sekadar melimpasi palang gol MS ABDB apabila sepakan percuma Azwan Salleh disebelah kanan gawang MS ABDB. Keadaan lebih dramatik pada masa kecederaan apabila pemain-pemain MS ABDB banyak melengah-lengahkan perlawanan dengan sketsa lakonan dan drama masing-masing walaupun pada hakikatnya pengadil cuma memberikan 3 minit masa tambahan.

Walaupun tewas tipis kepada pasukan MS ABDB yang berpengalaman, pasukan pelawat sepatutnya berbangga dengan corak permainan dan semangat yang ditunjukkan oleh pemain-pemainnya yang menunjukkan komitmen bersungguh-sungguh yangmana rata-rata separuh babak kedua itu didominasi oleh pasukan pelawat yang bertandang di Padang Penanjong Kem, Tutong. Perlawanan seterusnya pasukan Indera FC pada 12 Januari 2009 di padang JBS menentang pendahulu liga Premier Satu DST Group, QAF FC.

Indera FC meneruskan lagi rentak kemenangan kedua mereka dengan menewaskan Pasukan NBT FC 2-0 hasil jaringan lewat di babak 10 minit terakhir perlawanan walaupun hanya bermain dengan 10 orang. Indera FC nampak garang di separuh masa pertama dengan berkali-kali mengasak ke kubu Pasukan NBT FC namun cuba demi cubaan masih tidak berhasil untuk menjaringkan gol awal. Mohd Khayrun Salleh penyerang Indera FC yang bergandingan dengan Abdul Al-Wardi (jersi 18) pada malam itu, mencuba penjaga gol NBT FC dengan tandukan yang sedikit tersasar di atas palang gol. Bukan itu saja, percubaan Sairol Sahari yang hanya berdepan dengan penjaga gol ditepi sebelah kiri gawang lawan gagal untuk menjaringkan gol sulung beliau pada malam itu apabila tiang menjadi penghalang. Penjaga gawang NBT Fc haruslah mendapat pujian apabila beliau banyak menyelamatkan gawangnya daripada di bolosi oleh pasukan Indera FC.

Pasukan Indera FC yang turun dengan formasi 3-5-2 itu seolah-olah mahu mencari gol awal dengan meletakan dua gandingan mantap pemain tengah iaitu Awang Azwan Salleh dan Sahrin Momin yang juga merupakan bekas pemain NBT FC sebelum ini. Mohd Helmi Zambin sering mengerunkan lawan dengan larian pantas di sebelah kanan dengan kelincahan beliau yang memperdayakan lawan sehingga pada minit ke 30, beliau telah dikasari dan dijatuhkan di kotak D tetapi pengadil hanya melambai tangan untuk meneruskan perlawanan. Walaubagaimanapun, Indera FC tidak berputus asa dengan memperlihatkan aksi-aksi menarik dalam usaha membolosi gawang. Pemain muda Indera FC, Mohd Ariff juga sering membantu bahagian serangan dengan skill dan sentuhan yang menarik, cuma nasib yang belum menyebelahi.

Pertahanan Indera FC pada malam itu, sememangnya sepatutnya mendapat pujian apabila segala asakan pasukan NBT FC hanya terhenti setakat di Kotak D sahaja apabila pertahanan yang dikemudi oleh Awangku Shahruddin Pg Tajuddin berjaya menghadang penyerang lincah NBT FC yang hanya menggunakan seorang penyerang sahaja dalam bentuk 4-5-1 formasi. Jurulatih Indera FC, Pg Md Serfuddin resah apabila Indera FC menghabiskan separuh masa pertama dengan kedudukan 0-0 walaupun rata-ratanya Indera FC mengawal permainan.

Separuh masa kedua bermula dengan malang bagi Indera FC apabila ketua pasukan Indera FC yang bermain sungguh baik pada malam itu terpaksa keluar padang lebih awal apabila beliau dilayangkan kad kuning kedua oleh pengadil perlawanan yang mana perlawanan baru saja berlangsung 15 minit. Walaupun bermain 10 orang, Indera FC tidak menampakan kekurangan pasukan itu dari segi serangan dan permainan sehingga Jurulatih Indera FC, Pg Mohd Serfuddin terpaksa mengarahkan Azwan Salleh bermain di posisi pertahanan. Pasukan NBT FC tidak dapat menggunakan kelebihan bermain 11 orang apabila pemain-pemainnya nampak keletihan dan Jurulatih NBT FC, Nordin Tujoh terpaksa seringkali menukar pemain-pemainnya. Abdul Al-Wardi sepatutnya menambah koleksi jaringannya pada malam itu, apabila hantaran lintang Sharin Momin gagal disempurnakan oleh Abdul Wardi apabila gawang sudah terbuka luas. Penyokong-penyokong Indera FC pada malam itu sentiasa memberikan sokongan padu pada Pasukan Indera FC dengan riuh rendah suara mereka dalam usaha untuk memberikan semangat kepada pasukan Indera FC yang masih terkial-kial mencari gol.

Dengan kemasukan Mohd Sallehin (jersi no.8) menggantikan Abdul Al-Wardi pada separuh masa kedua itu, sedikit sebanyak memberikan suntikan semangat kepada pasukan Indera FC apabila beliau nyaris-nyaris menjaringkan gol yang dinanti-nantikan apabila tandukannya terbabas apabila hantaran lintang yang cantik dari Mohd Helmi Zambin disebelah kanan. Mohd Sallehin juga mensia-siakan peluang kedua untuk memberikan Indera FC mendahului NBT FC yang sudah kehilangan stamina apabila tendangannya lemah didakap penjaga gol NBT FC.

Akhirnya Indera FC berjaya jua membolosi gawang NBT FC apabila Indera FC dihadiahkan sepakan penalti di minit ke 80 apabila pemain lincah, Mohd Helmi Zambin dijatuhkan oleh pemain NBT FC di dalam Kotak D, menyebabkan pengadil kali ini tidak teragak-agak memberikan keputusan yang tepat. Dan kali ini, Awzan Salleh diberikan peranan untuk menyempurnakan sepak penalti berkenaan dan belaiu tidak mensia-siakan peluang itu dengan melepaskan sepakan deras menewaskan penjaga gol NBT FC yang jatuh kearah lain. Gol sulung itu membuatkan penyokong-penyokong Indera FC riuh rendah memenuhi Padang Jabatan Belia dan Sukan, Berakas itu. Pasukan NBT Fc cuba mengasak diakhir perlawanan itu untuk mencari gol penyamaan namun pasukan NBT FC terpaksa melupakan hasrat mereka itu apabila sekali lagi gawang mereka dibolosi, kali ini dengan jaringan Mohd Helmi Zambin menerusi tandukan cantik mengegar jaring.

Dengan kemenangan Indera FC pada malam itu, meletakkan Indera FC di tempat ke 6, dengan mengumpul 15 mata dan perlawanan seterusnya Indera FC adalah menentang MS ABDB pada 06 Januari 2010, di penanjong Kem.

INDERA FC pipped Wijaya FC 1-0 last night to steal sixth in the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) table in a lively mid-table clash.

Though they were left chasing the ball for most of the 90 minutes at the Berakas Sports Complex, Indera were still able to overcome Wijaya and now enjoy a two-point lead over them in the standings.

Indera have collected 12 points from 11 games, leaving Wijaya seventh in the 10-team table with 10 points.

Neither goalkeeper was really threatened until the 15th minute when Muhd Nashruddin Salamat did well to save a looping header from Indera's Md Khayrun Salleh.

Indera were handed a blow minutes before that when experienced defender Sharin Zaini limped off the field to be replaced by Mohd Salihen Suhaimi.

Ex-DPMM FC midfielder Azwan Salleh stung Muhd Nashruddin's gloves in the 20th minute with a fierce free-kick, with Md Amirulizam Pungut and Ak Khairul Lizam Pg Hj Bungsu also carving chances of their own for Wijaya.

Wijaya's Zulkefly Duraman also had a scoring opportunity but his free-kick from distance sailed inches over the bar minutes before the break.

Pg Serfuddin Pg Hj Md Salleh's half-time team talk did the trick because Indera grabbed the lead a minute after the restart.

A cross from the right flank found Abdul Al-Wardi Abd Hamid in space inside the penalty area, and the unmarked 17-year-old midfielder easily headed home.

The presence of Azwan and ex-DPMM FC teammate Sairol Hj Sahari in Indera's midfield should have seen them control the middle of the park, but Wijaya's good pressure off the ball meant it was the men in black and yellow that were pulling all the strings.

Moving the ball around well, their only downfall was the lack of quality final passes.

The injured Sairol was replaced by Muhd Zulhazmi Hj Awang mid-way through the half, and the latter nearly provided the team's second goal when he strung a through pass to Md Khayrun.

But with only the goalkeeper to beat, Md Khayrun fired wide. He had another golden opportunity to add to Indera's lead a minute later but his unmarked header failed to find the target.

Jamrin Hj Johari forced Muhd Nashruddin into another good save during a free-kick in the last quarter of an hour, and the goalkeeper was again up to the task five minutes later to keep out a header from Marhazif Ahad.

Shahronie Hj Bungsu hit the left side-netting in the dying minutes of the game for Indera, and despite the team being second best for most of the game, their coach was not complaining. "We achieved what we came here to do, win three points and overcome Wijaya in the table," said Indera's coach Pg Serfuddin.

"Overall, I can say that the players' performance is improving from time to time, though the same can be said of Wijaya who really did well in countering our attack.

"I identified a few problem areas such as our ineffective attack, so we will have to work on that," added the former DPMM FC assistant coach.

It was Wijaya's second defeat in the space of a week, losing 7-2 to AH United last Saturday.

AH United beat NBT FC 4-1 in last night's other game at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Ak Asrul Asydnee Pg Sahdon opened the scoring from the penalty spot to give AH United a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute and Md Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah doubled the team's lead four minutes later.

Ak Asrin Pg Hj Mohammaddin made it 2-1 a minute into the second half but Md Nazirul Nazreen would score his second five minutes later, with Muhd Maududi Hilmi Kasmi making it 4-1 in the 70th minute.

A BRACE from Md Azri Jebri helped Liang Lumut Recreational Club (LLRC) to a 3-2 win over Indera FC in last night's DST Group League Cup game.

Md Azri levelled the scores six minutes after Md Khayrun Salleh had netted in the third minute to give Indera the lead in their second round match at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in Berakas.

Md Khayrun formerly playing for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) regained Indera the lead a minute after Md Azri equalised.

But not to be denied, Md Azri netted again for LLRC in the 33rd minute to set the scores at 2-2 going into the locker-room at half-time.

A goal from Hj Annuar Hj Seidil two minutes after the restart was enough for the Belait-based team to win the match.

Meanwhile, at the Berakas Sports Complex, BPL I surprise package AM Gunners beat Menglait FC 2-0 in their second round encounter.

Md Nazlee PD Hj Jaafar opened the scoring three minutes before the half-time break, with Nazri Hassan netting the second goal in the 62nd minute.

AM Gunners are expected to meet defending champions QAF FC in the quarter-finals later this week.

The DST Group Brunei Premier League I leaders, QAF FC, beat Jerudong 2-1 in a tightly contested and noisy second round match at the Berakas Sports Complex earlier this week.

Tonight's games will see AH United take to the field against NBT FC at the Balapan Track and Field while Brunei Youth (Under-16) face Lun Bawang at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Both games are expected to kick off at 8.15pm.

Friday's game saw Brunei Shell Football Team beat Muara Vella FC 5-1 at the Berakas Sports Complex.

MS ABDB (the Royal Brunei Armed Forces' Sports Council) proved too much to handle for the AM Gunners as they overwhelmed the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League (BPL) I newcomers with a 2-0 scoreline at the Penanjong Camp in Tutong.

The result means that MS ABDB now leapfrog the AM Gunners into second place on 23 points just two points adrift of table toppers and defending champions, QAF FC, who are on 25 points. AM Gunners are third with 21 points.

AM Gunners started out on the wrong foot as MS ABDB got their first goal through Md Isa Hj Bahar after only 15 minutes from a penalty kick.

They had difficulty settling as the army men kept attacking their goal.

Despite this MS ABDB had to wait until the 85th minute to finally put the match to bed and they did it with some help from the AM Gunners' backline.

The second goal came when AM Gunners' defenders left Md Roy Suhardi Hanifah unmarked on the left. The MS ABDB striker received the ball from his strike partner to slot home past Bakhtiar Hussein in the AM Gunners goal.

"The team played really well but our finishing could have been better. There were a lot of chances but we failed to capitalise on them," said Lt Col Dr Bahrin Hj Bintang, the MS ABDB manager, in a telephone interview with The Brunei Times.

"We will just have to look at it and sort out our weaknesses and play better for the League Cup starting next week," added Lt Col Dr Bahrin.

"The result is very good for us. We are now in second place," continued the MS ABDB manager.

"This victory puts us back in contention (for the title). A draw or a loss would have given (league leaders) QAF FC a larger advantage over us," added Lt Col Dr Bahrin.

In the day's other match, Indera FC defeated Wijaya FC 4-1 at the Berakas Sports Complex in Berakas.

Md Shahrin Zaini scored the first goal of the game for Indera FC on the 23rd minute through a spot kick.

The scores remained at 1-0 to Indera FC at halftime.

Right after the restart, Jaslee Nasri added another goal for Indera FC outrunning the Wijaya FC defenders to score past the goalkeeper.

Indera FC were controlling the midfield battle, forcing the Wijaya FC defenders to work overtime to stop their strikers.

Their efforts paid off in the 60th minute when Abd Muiz Sisa once again outran his defender on the right flank to beat the Wijaya goalkeeper.

Wijaya FC only came alive in the final 10 minutes of the game, scoring in the 87th minute through Zulazri Gapor to make it 3-1.

But Indera FC quickly restored their three-goal cushion Md Khayrun Salleh adding his name to the scoresheet with a goal in injury time.

"The team performed well. The players followed all the instructions and were very disciplined," said Pg Serfuddin Pg Hj Md Salleh, the head coach of Indera FC.

Today's game will see AH United take on NBT FC at 8.15pm.

QAF FC CRUISE 3-1 WIN OVER INDERA FC (BB)

Bandar Seri Begawan - QAF FC cruised to a 3-1 victory against Indera FC in the DST Group Brunei Premier League I held at the Berakas Sporttomplex last night.

In another match, AM Gunners FC thrashed Brunei Shell FT 4-0 at the Track and Field Sports Complex.

QAF FC coached by former Brunei national player Mohamad Ali Hj Mustafa was a goal down as early as the 10th minute.

Indera FC's Md Zulfadli Pg Hj Tajudin produced a spectacular low-drive shot to beat QAF FC goalie, Mohd Sahan Mumtazali.

The match last night, considered being a balanced 50-50 war, as no import players - Cameroonian QAF FC goal-scoring machine Vivan Francis Bayong and Japanese import Ito Dan - were listed in the QAF FC line-up.

A few minutes after the goal, QAF FC's Adie Arsham Muhd Salleh brilliantly beat Indera's goalkeeper Ak Omar Nur Aqammaddin Pg Hj Sallehuddin in a one-and-one situation but linesman denied QAF FC the equaliser due to Adie being position.

Adie once again came close to put his name on the scoresheet but the inform Indera goalkeeper denied him for the second encounter after producing a clean save.

QAF FC team-captain Md Mardi Mirza Bujang Abdullah who is the twin brother of Hardi Bujang who currently played for Brunei DPMM FC, almost levelled the score but Indera's goalpost denied Md Mardi's header after the ball hit the crossbar.

After the breather, QAF FC coach Mohamad Ali changed his game plan to a more attacking format.

Mohamad Ali brought in the much-experienced former Brunei national player teammate Riwandi Wahit for Md Hardyman Abdul Lamit.

The much-needed goal came in the 59th minute for QAF FC as Number 8 Md Hendra Azam Mohd Idris easily tapped the ball past Indera's goalie to make the scoreline 1-I.

Ten minutes later, Adie's efforts this time bore fruit as he managed to sneak out from several Indera's defenders to head the ball in from aAk Md Kamarul Ariffin Pg Ramlee's corner-kick to give his team a 2-1 lead.

With I5 minutes into the final whistle, the game gathered pace as each side is looking for every chance to score a goal.

However, it was QAF FC who got into the limelight as the referee pointed to the spot after HamizanAziz Sulaiman was brought down inside Indera's penalty box.

Md Mardi easily converted the penalty in the 89th minute to seal a 3-1 win for QAF FC.

With the win last night, QAF FC is still on top of the league.

Meanwhile, Reduan Petara (34'h minutes), Md Nazlee Jaafar (73rd and 82nd minutes) and Md Najib Tarif (fire minutes) scored for AM Gunners 4-0 victory over Brunei Shell FT last night.

GOALS from Rosmini Kahar either side of half-time ensured AM Gunners FC of a 4-2 win against Indera Sports Club during their DST Group Brunei Premier League I match last night.

An ex-DPMM FC midfielder, Rosmini proved his class for the league's newcomers with a brace in the 34th and 60th minute.

Although the boisterous AM Gunners supporters were not up to their raucous selves at the Berakas Sports Complex last night, the favourites heading into the match did not disappoint the crowd and surged to a 2-0 lead after half an hour.

The AM Gunners are now tied on points with league leaders and defending champions QAF FC on 15 points, though QAF have a game in hand.

Edi Ruslan Hj Abd Samad opened the scoring in the 17th minute after netting from a set-piece, and it was 2-0 exactly 17 minutes later when Rosmini volleyed home from close range.

Undeterred, Indera mounted a come-back to level the scores heading into the dressing room at the half-time break.

Formerly plying his trade with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB), Md Khayrun Salleh provided both the goals for Indera, who remain sixth in the 10-team table. He netted his first in the 38th minute after receiving a cross from the left, making it 2-2 a minute before the break after dribbling into the box and firing home from close range.

However, a tap-in by Jasriman Johari at the hour mark regained the lead for AM Gunners, with Rosmini making it 4-2 with a diving header on the hour mark.

"I am obviously happy with the win, but we went down a bit after taking a 2-0 lead," said AM Gunners' head coach Hj Ahmad Hj Husin after the game. "Indera came back well in the first half to make it 2-2 but we managed to start the second half well and we managed to capitalise on our chances."

Over at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, Majra FC beat Jerudong 4-1.

After a goalless first half, Adi got on the scoresheet for Majra a minute after the restart and Julremi made it 2-0 after bulging the net in the 62nd minute. Two goals in the space of three minutes by Majra's Faizul in the 71st minute and Azim in the 74th minute put the game beyond reach, though Esmendy would grab a consolation for Jerudong after netting less than a minute later.

Friday's games will see QAF take on AH United at the Berakas Sports Complex, with MS ABDB hoping for a win against Wijaya FC during their match at the Penanjong Camp in Tutong to stay in touch with table-toppers QAF.

At the Brunei Shell Recreational Club in Seria, Brunei Shell Football Team face NBT FC, with both teams eyeing their second win of the season.

All three games are expected to kick-off at 8:15pm.

VIBAN FRANCIS BAYONG broke Jerudong FC's hearts last night with a goal in injury-time to send QAF FC back to the top of the DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) with a 2-1 win.

Though he netted both of the defending champions' goals at the Balapan Track & Field, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, the Cameroonian midfielder was quick to deflect any individual praise.

A free-kick from Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin Pg Ramlee in the 92nd minute was met by Bayong, who also opened the scoring for QAF FC in the 27th minute when he tapped in a header from Md Aqmal Hakeem Abd Hamid.

"I thank the team for playing well ... All the guys did a great job today (Monday)," said Bayong.

"It is not only about Viban, we won because the team played well. Did you see that cross? If it wasn't for him (Ak Md Kamarul Ariffin) we would not have won," he added.

With the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MS ABDB) leading the 10-team table by a point prior to the game, Bayong acknowledged how crucial last night's win was.

"It was a league game and we needed the points to stay at the top of the table. We need to be at the top!" he emphasised to the Press.

League leaders QAF FC now have 12 points, two more than arch-rivals MS ABDB.

The stocky midfielder could have netted inside the first five minutes, but his shot from outside the box was tapped out for a corner-kick by Abdul Hafiz Hj Mursadi in between the Jerudong posts.

QAF FC striker Adie Arsham Muhd Salleh was next to test the goalkeeper, going on a mazy run which evaded three defenders but watching his shot from point-blank saved by Abdul Hafiz.

Enddy Soehardy Awg Sapar equalised for Jerudong in what was their first real chance of the game in the 31st minute, finishing off a deft one-two inside the box with Sufri Mohaimin to skirt a normally water-tight QAF FC backline.

Md Aqmal Hakeem scuffed a chance to score five minutes before the break during a counter-attack with only Abdul Hafiz to beat, but he miskicked a cross from Adie Arsham.

QAF FC were penned in their own box during the last minute of the first half, unable to clear the ball with Jerudong pressuring every player.

The second period was marked by the lack of quality passes by both teams, and chances were few and far between.

Sufri had a chance to score Jerudong's second during a counter-attack on the hour mark but his cross-goal shot was just wide of the left post though he might have been better advised to pick out Enddy Soehardy who was waiting unmarked inside the box.

Adie Arsham's pin-point cross to Bayong inside the penalty area was met with a header which was saved by Abdul Hafiz in the 80th minute, which must have prompted Jerudong's risky decision to use all their substitutes minutes later.

It nearly paid off when Mohd Azwan Ali Rahman jinxed past two players outside the box but shot wide off the post.

Mohammad Esmendy Brahim should have done better seconds later, watching his shot easily saved by QAF FC's Mohd Sahan Mumtazali.

The other match of the day saw Indera FC beat AH United 2-1 at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Ex-MS ABDB player Khayrun Salleh took only seven minutes to hand Indera the lead, with Md Shah Johan Hj Shari doubling the team's advantage three minutes before the break.

Md Nazirul Nazreen Abdullah scored AH United's only goal in the 62nd minute.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Rabu - Pasukan Majra FC dan MS ABDB pulang ceria selepas berjaya menumpaskan lawan masing-masing sekali gus memperoleh tiga mata penuh pada persaingan Perdana Satu Liga Brunei DST Group di sini, malam ini.

Persaingan di Kompleks Sukan Berakas menyaksikan pertemuan menarik pasukan Majra FC menentang pasukan NBT FC apabila kedua pasukan berjaya mempamerkan persaingan sengit sebaik wisel bermula.

Namun Md. Faizal Mohammad lebih awal menceriakan jurulatih Majra apabila berjaya menewaskan penjaga gol NBT pada minit ke 6 sebelum pemain tinggi lampai itu menambah jaringan kedua pada minit ke 27.

Ketinggalan dua gol, NBT bangkit mencari sentuhan menerusi asakan pantas dan Haji Khairol Anwar Haji Md. Yakub bijak melepaskan kawalan pertahanan sebelum menewaskan penjaga gol Majra pada minit ke 31 untuk mendekatkan jurang gol menjadi 2-1.

Seminit sebelum tamat perlawanan Md. Faizal berjaya mencipta jaringan hatrik dan sebaik saja perlawanan babak kedua bermula, nama Md. Faizal sekali lagi terukir menjadi penjaring terbanyak dalam satu perlawanan apabila bijak membuat penyudahan yang sempurna untuk kedudukan 3-1.

Perlawanan terus sengit tetapi lebih memihak kepada Majra dengan jaringan ke lima menerusi Adi Said pada minit ke 58 dan anak buah Nordin Tujuh hanya berjaya menambah jaringan pada minit ke 63 menerusi sentuhan Ak. Md. Asrin Pengiran Haji Mohammad untuk memuktamadkan keputusan perlawanan yang memihak kepada pasukan Majara 5-2.

Sementara itu, pasukan Indera FC hampa selepas gagal mengimbangi kerakusan pasukan MS ABDB dengan jaringan 2-4 di Padang dan Belapan.

Namun pasukan MS ABDB terpaksa menunggu sehingga minit ke 20 menerusi Md. Isa Haji Bahar untuk membuka tirai jaringan.

Jaringan itu membuat pasukan MS ABDB terus gagah untuk menambah jaringan dan ternyata penyerang lipas kudung, Md Sardillah Haji Abdullah tidak menghadapi masalah untuk menambah jaringan kedua diminit ke 34 dan dua minit sebelum tamat babak pertama, Md. Hazreen P DP Haji Masri terus membuat pasukan lawan hampa.

Jaringan Md. Khayrun Salleh pada minit ke 56 sedikit melegakan jurulatih Indera tetapi keceriaan pasukan itu kembali redup apabila MD. Baharain Hamidon menambah jaringan untuk MS ABDB.

Indera FC yang kembali mengambil giliran untuk membuat ancaman lawan bagaimanapun hanya memperoleh jaringan diminit ke 90 dan kebangkitan mereka juga sudah terlambat selepas keputusan 4-2 yang memihak kepada MS ABDB terus kekal hingga ke wisel penamat.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Rabu - Pasukan NBT mempamerkan aksi garang untuk menjinakkan pasukan Indera FC 3-0 pada persaingan Perdana I Liga Brunei DST Group di Kompleks Sukan Berakas, malam ini.

NBT yang menerima khidmat jurulatih baru nampak lebih kemas mencorak permainan dari tiap sudut sekalipun saingan yang diberikan pasukan Indera FC cukup mendebarkan.

Bagaimanapun. Md. Sufri Md. Husin berjaya membuka tirai gol buat pasukan NBT pada ke 16 selepas menerima umpanan cantik rakan.

Indera yang mula bingkas selepas dikejutkan jaringan lawan tidak dapat melakukan apa-apa malah tersentak sekali lagi selepas Md. Sufri sekali lagi tidak melakukan kesilapan untuk jaringan ke dua NBT diminit ke 38.

Anak buah Nordin Tujoh terpaksa akur dengan kehebatan pasukan lawan apabila Md. Noorfuad pula tampil di minit ke 69 untuk merobek gawang NBT.

Kebangkitan pasukan Indera untuk sekurang-kurangnya mencuri satu mata bagaimanapun tidak kesampaian selepas benteng pertahanan NBT terus kukuh.

Pada perlawanan di Padang dan Belapan, Berakas, pasukan MS ABDB dikejutkan oleh pasukan Jerudong apabila keputusan perlawanan berakhir dengan kedudukan 1-1.

Sekalipun ABDB beraya memperolehi jaringan menerusi tandukan cantik Mohd. Sardillah yang mencuri masok di dalam kotak penalty diminit ke 14, pasukan Jerudong pula berjaya menyamakan kedudukan 1-1 menerusi Md. Enddy diminit ke 49.

Kedua pasukan yang mempamerkan aksi pantas dan berbalas serangan bagaimanapun terpaksa akur dengan kedudukan seri 1-1.

Jerudong FC kick off their BPL I campaign with win too

THE 2009/2010 DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I (BPL I) season kicked off last night with two thrilling matches Indera FC taking on Majra FC and Jerudong FC facing NBT FC.

Indera FC dominated the first half of their match at the Balapan Field in Berakas taking a commanding 2-0 lead.

Abd Muiz Sisa drew first blood in the 33rd minute and eight minutes later Md Saifuddin struck again for Indera FC to virtually wrap up the game just before the half-time whistle.

But Majra FC would not go down without a fight. They came out strong in the second half, frustrating the Indera FC defence by dominating ball possession.

Md Azri Zahari came close with a free kick from just outside the area in the 66th minute and their efforts paid off in the 74th minute.

Indera FC were caught off guard and forced to concede a penalty which Noor Raimi coolly converted to put them back in the game.

Majra FC came close again in the 88th minute a scrappy play by Indera FC inside the penalty area almost gifted their opponents a goal but Indera FC goalkeeper did a brilliant job to deny his rivals a late equaliser.

Indera FC's frustration in the second half was underlined by Md Karimurrizal kicking the ball out of the field after being called for a foul.

This 87th minute offence earned him his second yellow card of the night and his marching orders.

"So far so good," was Indera FC coach Hj Rahman's response to their first win in the DSTGroup BPL I, adding that it was a good start to the new season.

"My players are 50-50, some are new, the other half are our regulars. We hope to have more energy for the next game.

"There were too many mistakes today (Monday) and we had to work very hard for the win," said the coach after the match.

The second match of the night saw Jerudong FC take on NBT FC .

Jerudong made a lacklustre start but took their chances well to score a goal during the dying minutes of injury time in the first half.

Esmendy Ibrahim scored from the left side of the penalty box with a powerful strike to beat the goalkeeper to end the half.

NBT FC failed to get back into the game after the break and let Sufri Mohaimin beat their keeper again in the 62nd minute to seal the game for Jerudong.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Rabu - Pasukan Indera FC naik satu tangga dengan merampas kedudukan pasukan AH United untuk berada di tangga ke-6 Perdana Satu Liga Brunei DST Group selepas membelasah pasukan March United 6-0 di Padang dan Belapan Berakas, malam ini.
Kemenangan itu meletakkan pasukan Indera mengutip 26 mata selepas mendapat 8 kali menang dua kali seri dan tujuh kali kecundang selepas melalui 17 perlawanan.

Indera tidak menunggu lama untuk merobek gawang pelawat apabila Md. Saifuddin bijak menyempurnakan umpanan cantik rakan dari tepi untuk memperdayakan penjaga gol March se awal minit pertama perlawanan.

March yang cuba mengintai untuk naik sekurang-kurang dua anak tangga bagaimanapun kembali terkejut dengan jaringan mudah Md. Aimaduddin yang terlepas dari kalawan ofsaid sebelum menewaskan mudah penjaga gol March di minit ke-10.

Perlawanan terus menarik apabila MD. Arif Haji Zulkifle mula memberi tekanan kepada March selepas beliau menambah jaringan untuk kedudukan 3-0.

March yang sentiasa mencari rentak berusaha keras melakukan asakan tetapi kerap membuat percubaan yang kurang bermaya malah asakan penyerang March juga selalu tidak menjadi.

Indera yang dibarisi majoriti pemain muda bagai tidak berpuas hati dengan kelebihan jaringan yang sudah diperolehi dengan menggandakan asakan.

Pertahanan March terus sibuk menghadang gerakan-gerakan kemas lawan dan tembok mereka rapuh juga dengan jaringan cantik Md. Arif Haji Zulkifle di minit ke-53 sebelum Ak. Md. Zulfadli turut lega menyumbang jaringan ke empat buat Indera.

INDERA FC'S 6-0 win against March United at the Belapan Track and Field last night was enough for them to leapfrog AH United and take the sixth-spot in the 13-team DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I.

Starting the game tied with AH United who had lost the previous night to Brunei Shell Football Team on 23 points, Indera's eighth win of the season mean they are now only another win away from catching up with Wijaya FC who are fifth in the table with 26 points.

Indera made their intentions clear from the starting whistle when Md Saifiddin Hj Abd Razak found the back of the net in the very first minute after taking advantage of some lacklustre defending to score from inside the box.

Indera were always a threat out wide, and using their speed on the flanks, found another goal in the 10th minute through Md Aimaduddin Hj Ibrahim.

After timing his run to perfection, he received a through ball from the right and March's goalkeeper Hj Norsukryzal Hj Abd Wahab was only able to parry the powerful shot over the top of his head and into goal.

It was 3-0, 11 minutes later when Md Arif Hj Zulkifli scored with a looping header after Hj Norsukryzal was caught off his line after coming out of his box to punch out a corner kick from the left.

With such a commanding lead in just the 21st minute, Indera could be forgiven for shifting down a few gears and concentrate on their passing game.

Through balls were the order of the day for Indera in their attacks forward, a stark comparison to March who relied on sending in crosses to the box which seldom troubled the opposing defence.

Clipping the ball neatly around the midfield area and doing well to quickly break into attack, Indera should have increased their lead in the first half.

However, they seemed to lack the all-important final pass at times, something which they will no doubt be looking to work on during future training sessions.

Md Arif bagged his second of the night with a long-range effort in the 53rd minute, with the match looking all but a foregone conclusion by then.

Tired feet by March meant that Indera held even more of the ball in the latter stages of the match, and Ak Md Zulfadli Pg Hj Tajudin took advantage of that to make it 5-0 in the 71st minute with a well-placed shot from outside the box.

Md Saifiddin doubled his goal tally with a goal in the last minute of regulation time to complete the scoring and officially resign March to their 12th loss of the campaign.

NBT FC was victorious in their match against Indera FC 4-3 in the Brunei Premier League 1 at the JBS Stadium last night.

Indera started off their campaign with a 2-1 lead in the first half.

The first two goals were slip ups by NBT's defenders as the first goal was an own goal in the 18th minute and the second was a horrendous mistake as a defender's pass was too weak to reach the goalkeeper and was intercepted in the 27th minute. Both goals were claimed by Indera's Jasli Masri.

Afindiyati Hj Tuah managed to squeeze in a goal for NBT just before half time in the 40th minute.

As the second half started NBT showed no mercy improving both on their teamwork and accurate passing. Their efforts paid off as a through ball to Afindiyati and his well timed run let him chip the ball pass the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute.

In the 56th minute, NBT were given a free kick just outside the penalty box, the ball soared high and right of the goal post where Afindiyati managed to head the ball to Hassan Fadly Hassan Ahmad as he scored with a header as well.

Their efforts didn't finish there, in the 65th minute Fazri Jumat's header from a corner found the back of the net through the goal keeper's legs and sent the crowd roaring.

Indera FC players showed signs of lacking stamina as they nearly let more goals through a weakened defence. Nevertheless Ak Saiful Rezam Pg Anak Said lessened the pain of losing with a goal mouth scramble goal just before end time in the 86th minute.

"In the first half we simply gave away those two goals so I made sure I gave them a pep talk during half time," NBT FC's coach Moksen Mohammad said.

"Suddenly in the second half our style of play changed, our passing was more accurate and was more focused and determined. I am content with the win especially after managing to regain the lead," he added.

10.06.08 - At first Indera main dgn baik...leading 2-0 tpi nasib pun nda menyebelahi Indera masa 2nd half..All i can say is ada lah mistakes atu yg Indera buat (tidak saya boleh nafikan) but nda lah banyak sangat tapinya nevermind..as i sed b4...from mistakes we learn how to be good in the future.. Indera lost to NBT with 3-4 . Well...seperti biasa...try, try and try again...dun give up bcoz always remember that you still hv ur supporters yg masih setia mensupport...

JASLEE Masri proved to be his team's saviour once again on Friday night, with the midfielder scoring a brace for Indera Sports Club during their 2-2 draw against Jerudong FC in their DSTGroup Brunei Premier League I match at the Berakas Sports Complex.

Jerudong got on the scoresheet first after Radzi Tamat netted from the penalty spot in the 18th minute, with Jaslee equalising with a strike in the 42nd minute to head into the locker room at half time with the scores at 1-1.

Jaslee would find the back of the net again in the 69th minute before Jerudong's Ak Juraimie Pg Hj Muamad sent the game into a deadlock with a goal in the 76th minute.

INDERA FC scored one goal against MS ABDB in the DST Group Brunei Premier One League match last night at the Belapan Track and Field.

Md Aimaduddin Hj Ibrahim scored in the 76th minute as Ak Md Zulfadli Pg Hj Tajuddin passed the ball from the right hand corner of the pitch to him in the centre as he cleanly put the ball pass the goal keeper.

It was a tight match and both teams were determined to win the match.

MS ABDB had a lot of opportunities to score but was unsuccessful in claiming any goals. Good passes both long and short could not add up to any goals for them.

Indera FC on the other hand was on attack mode all night taking advantage of every error MS ABDB made.

They clearly was the dominant team having possession of the ball most of the time.

"My team played well and I'm content to win," Coach Hj Zulkipli Hj Momin of Indera FC said.

"It was a last minute change to the 4-5-1 format instead of using our old 4-4-2 format due to injured players," he added.

Hj Zulkipli stated that he needs to improve the midfielders passing to the striker as he identified it as the limitation of the team.

Meanwhile the other match of the night at the JBS Stadium saw Wijaya FC thrash Kasuka FC 6-1.

Sorry guys..baru ani kan update salnya i was sick...ok..updates..

17.03.08 - Heavy rain masa 1st half and Jerudong scored 4 goals already and for Indera..none! but Indera managed to score 4 goals only in the 2nd half but sayang Jerudong added 3 more goals after that. The result was Jerudong won 7-4 against Indera.

STILL...no matter what...kekalahan bukannya bererti kalah.."kegagalan adalah success yang tertunda" saja (eseh...dari iklan mana tu nah?? siapa tau??)

To all players, u really did a great job n we know that u gave all ur best. Sayang nasib sekali lagi nda menyebelahi Indera...Kuatkan lagi semangat no matter what..Indera tetap akan cuba sedaya upaya untuk memprove to all that they can do it..Berusaha untuk semua..
